After the Smart Notebook and software has been installed you will notice a small transparent gray square on the left hand side of your computer screen:
This is the leading edge of the Smart Floating Toolbar. It is called as such because it can be moved anywhere on the screen then disappear into the left or right hand sides. The Floating Toolbar does not disappear into the bottom or top of the screen but can be completely hidden by right clicking on the Hide Floating Tools choice in the submenu opened from the icon in the lower right hand corner.
The Floating Toolbar provides you with easy access to Smart Tools that can be used outside of the Smart Notebook and without picking up a pen
Maximize the tool bar and chose any of the above icons. The pen icons when clicked automatically create a Smart Aware Layer over the screen. Anything written over this layer is can then be saved and captured to the Smart Notebook software.
